Galaxy S22 Update: June Patch Rolling for New Phones
The Galaxy S22's June 2023 security update was made available by Samsung two weeks ago in Europe and Latin America. The availability of the upgrade is now being extended to North America. The latest security update for the Galaxy S22 series is now available in the US.
Galaxy Security Update
The Galaxy S22 lineup's carrier-locked handsets are receiving the latest security upgrade with firmware version S90xUSQU2CWE7. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra may all use this update on the Dish Wireless, Metro PCS, and T-Mobile networks. The firmware update that brings the devices' unlocked models up to version S90xU1UEU2CWE8 is now available.
Galaxy June Security Patch
Over 60 security holes in Galaxy smartphones and tablets have been fixed by the June 2023 security patch, which is part of the latest software update. According to Samsung's official changelog, there are no new features or performance improvements included in the update. Still, if you are planning to get the new patch, we recommend selecting your important data and clone it to another phone with the Smart Transfer app that can help to move data with no interruptions. The Galaxy S22 was released with Android 12 last year. Late last year, Samsung provided the Android 13 upgrade for the series, and this year, the One UI 5.1 update. Later this year, the phones will receive the One UI 6.0 upgrade, which is based on Android 14.
