Huawei Mate X3: Sleek Minimal Designed Phone
With the Huawei Mate X3, Huawei now provides the thinnest foldable on the market. But is it enough for the Chinese manufacturer to compete in the real world against Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Honor Magic V? During the launch event, we got some time with the inward-folding Android smartphone. We want to share our initial thoughts with you.
Huawei Mate X3 Display
Huawei experimented with externally folding screens for its huge foldable screen for a very long time. The Huawei Mate X3 folds again on the inside, which is advantageous. The fragile 7.85-inch OLED panel is automatically shielded from outside forces during shipping. This has an adjustable refresh rate of 120 Hz and a resolution of 2,496 x 2,224 pixels (426 PPI).
Huawei Mate X3 Chipset
The brand uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, equipped with an Adreno 730 GPU and a 4G modem from California. With this chipset performance, users can shift unlimited media files to Huawei Mate X3 by downloading the super fast share files Smart Transfer app that can help to transfer data from another phone with no threat of losing data or facing any interruptions. The SoC was created using a 4 nm manufacturing process: four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz (power-saving cores), three so-called performance cores with up to 2.5 GHz, and one prime core (3.2 GHz).
Huawei Mate X3 Design Specs
The Huawei Mate X3 has won the distinction, with only a few millimeters of difference.
When folded, the Huawei model measures 161.1 x 73.9 x 11.2 mm, while the Xiaomi model measures 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.08 mm.
Our test candidate measures 156.9 x 141.5 x 5.3 mm when unfurled, whereas Xiaomi provides 161.1 x 144.7 x 5.4 mm.
Huawei Mate X3 Final Thoughts
Huawei's Mate X3 certainly does not need to hide from the foldable competition thanks to its initially impressive primary camera. If your size issues have prevented you from adjusting to a full-size foldable, you should check out the Mate X3.
