Motorola Edge 40: Durable Design with Great Performance



The Moto Edge 40 is a sub-flagship phone, meaning it has a lot of impressive specifications but is different from the top of the line. It's the kind of phone intended to provide premium functionality without charging premium prices, and it is an upgrade to the Moto Edge's older variant rather than the underpowered 2022 Moto Edge 30. Moto Edge 40 Design


In the past, some phones, such as the Motorola Moto X a few years ago, had leather on the back, but it wasn't common outside of the top category. In a sea of smartphones with glass backs, the Moto Edge 40 stands out right away, thanks to the choice of vegan leather. The Moto Edge 40 has dual speakers that use Dolby Atmos technology to extend the soundscape, one on the bottom and one built into the top of the screen. These speakers do well for themselves with respectable loudness and acceptable performance, whether playing games or viewing movies without a headset.

The Moto Edge 40 offers a 6.55-inch display on the front, which bends out to the left and right corners and has a punch hole in the top center for the front camera. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and an OLED display made of plastic. The refresh rate may be changed, and options include an automatic setting, 60 Hz, or 120 Hz. Since 144Hz is outside the range that auto-refresh would cover, you must choose it individually.


Moto Edge 40 Performance & Storage


The MediaTek Dimensity 8020 is the device's power source. It is supported by 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. This is one of the factors making it a sub-flagship smartphone. Moto Edge 40 users can easily save bulk data without fear of getting low-storage notifications. Suppose you purchase this phone and face any issues deleting duplicate media files. The Dimensity 8020 is on the same level as the Snapdragon 888+ hardware that the Moto Edge 30 Fusion featured, although it is more recent.
