Nokia G42 5G: Top-Notch Design and Chipset



HMD Global has been looking for its niche ever since deciding to leave the flagship smartphone market. And we believed the business had finally found it back in February at the MWC convention in Barcelona. Our "Best Of MWC" award went to HMD for the Nokia G22's repairability. In a new effort to provide users the option to transform their phone into a DIY project, HMD today unveiled the Nokia G42 5G. The repairable display, charging port, and battery are the big takeaways from the announcement, and you can check the specs sheet below.


Nokia G42 5G Chipset & Battery

To captivate enthusiasts of eye-catching phones, HMD Global created it in a bold purple hue as well as a less vibrant gray. It also made sure that the specification was equally alluring. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ CPU with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, a 6.56-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and NFC, that is perfect for multitasking with no threat of losing data. You can select photos, videos, and contacts from an older phone and clone it with Smart Transfer app without facing any interruptions. A 5,000mAh battery, even a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone connection are all included. There is also a 5,000mAh battery.


Nokia G42 5G Camera

The Nokia G42 5G 50-megapixel camera is on the back, along with a 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. Additionally, there is an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The phone features a two-piece unibody design, is 8.55mm thick, weighs 193 grams, is IP52 water resistant, and includes a fingerprint sensor on the side of the chassis. The rear panel is constructed of 85% recycled materials.
